September 2026 Update

I've got a few things to write about this month, but not a lot of pictures. I guess I'm not much of a picture taker.

First, we've been enjoying going each weekend to watch my grandson, Alex, play football with a local team, the Holley Hawks.  They are a small team, so he has to play both offense and defense, but he's doing really well personally, although the team is winless.  Also, his sister, our granddaughter, Ansa, is on the cheer squad for the Hawks, and she is very enthusiastic in her cheers!  She does a great job, and it is super fun to watch them both each week.

Krista had the opportunity to go on a sisters' weekend over the Labor Day weekend arranged by her niece, Kristina, with all of her sisters, Conny, Jolita, and Nanita.  Kristina drove the three New York sisters, and Jolita's husband, Phil, drove her, and they met at an Airbnb Kristina found in western Kentucky.  It was a beautiful place, and they had a fun weekend spending time with each other.

Meanwhile, those of us who live locally met at our house on Labor Day to share fun and food.  We had perfect weather and a great time together.

Finally, our big news this month, and the reason this is a few days later than usual, was my son, Levi's, wedding this past Friday, September 18.  He and his bride, Kayla, had an absolutely perfect wedding day at an amazing venue south of us.  We are thrilled to officially have Kayla in our family!

We were blessed that all of our kids made it home for the wedding and were able to stay an extra day or so to make it possible for us all to get together on Saturday at Abigail's house.  Again, more good food and fun times were had by all.
