I mentioned last month that we've been going to watch my grandson, Alex, play football each week, and that he had been playing really well, even though his team was winless. His last regular season game was on 10/10, and he went out with a bang, scoring both a rushing and passing touchdown (doing his Josh Allen imitation, we told him). It was really exciting, and we're glad we got to be there for his great day. He's going to be playing in the league's all-star game on 10/31, and his sister, Ansa, will be cheering for it. So, congratulations to them both!
Our big news this month isn't really ours, but our son, Cai's and his family. He and his wife, Amy, and their daughters, Dorothy and Ava, welcomed a new baby sister, Violet Kennedy, born on 10/13. Everyone is doing great, and Krista and I are hoping to take a trip to Louisville as soon as we can arrange it, to meet her. If anyone is trying to keep track, Violet is our 24th grandchild!
