We celebrated
my birthday on 10/19 by going out to Five Guys Burgers and Fries (excellent
food—highly recommended), and watching the Bills beat the Vikings. The
Seahawks and my fantasy team couldn’t give me a present as they both lost, so
I’m glad at least the Bills won.
Also that
morning in church, I sang in a men’s quartet at church. We did “He Will
Carry You,” which is a pretty tough a cappella song with some really tight
harmonies. We all said afterward that we made mistakes that morning that
we’d never made before, but we trust God used it anyway to encourage His
people.
On 10/21, I
remembered that Dad had graduated to heaven three years ago. I’m glad
I’ll get to see him again.
Levi turned
10 years old on 11/14. No more kids in single digits! We had his
party the previous Tuesday with a nice cake Krista made for him and fun
presents.

Kortney got him the DVD of "How To Train Your Dragon 2" but it hadn't arrived yet, so this was a picture of what was to come |

He really loved his presents. Nerf gun battles are a favorite activity at our house |
Hannah and
Kevin and Ella and Cody are returning today from a trip to Cancun. I
noticed from my brother, Ken’s, update, that his son Christopher and his family
were just there too. If we’d coordinated it, they could have seen each
other! They had a great time enjoying the sun, but are returning to
reality. They’re flying into Buffalo where they got over a foot of snow overnight.
We’re hoping they’ll be able to get out of that city and get home. It was
all lake effect off of Lake Erie, so we got hardly any here.
Until
December!
